Here at Lina Mental Health, we take pride in taking care of our clients as we would a loved-one, which includes providing a listening ear, empowering others, and offering respect. In turn, we also expect respect from clients. We are a treatment team, so please share your concerns and actively participate in your care! The brain, like any other organ in the body, needs care and attention. If you are experiencing a crisis or conflict in your life and you would like to speak with a professional, please don't struggle alone. If you have an existing mental health diagnosis and need to re-establish care with a provider, please reach out. Seeking help when in crisis takes courage and self-awareness, and I am proud to be your provider.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

As a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner with Lina Mental Health, I can help you with reaching a diagnosis, and together, we can work on a treatment regime that will work for you and your situation. Therapy is a critical aspect of mental health as well, so although I do not provide therapy, we can refer you out.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

We specialize in helping clients cope with stressful diagnoses such as cancers, diabetes, terminal illnesses, STD/STIs, and mental illnesses. It can be difficult struggling with a new diagnosis and not having anyone to talk to. Even something as simple as filling out medical history paperwork for the first time after a new diagnosis can bring up all kinds of feelings. A new diagnosis does not have to be daunting or defining! We are devoted to patient-centered and compassionate care.

My treatment methods

Psychoeducation

I enjoy spending time helping my clients understand their diagnoses, explaining medications, and discussing the estimated length of treatment. This is so we can really be a treatment team, and you can be fully involved and invested in your care plan!
