Website: Mentalhealthwithandrewmaihos.com (*Fully Remote and accepting Massachusetts/NH clients*) My name is Andrew Maihos I am a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker practicing in Massachusetts and New Hampshire. I have been working in human services since 2011 and have been practicing as a counselor since 2016. I have worked in a wide variety of settings including schools, prisons, substance abuse treatment facilities, and mental health centers. I have experience working with all age groups and a wide variety of mental health/substance use disorders. I would describe myself as non-judgmental, easy going, and empathetic. I greatly value accountability, candor, and self-reflection in the treatment process.
What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?
It will typically be a blend of getting to know each other, me providing some psychoeducation, and beginning an exploration into a person's world view.
Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.
Showing up everyday ready to listen is my biggest strength. Self awareness is crucial to being an effective therapist and practicing self-care consistently is what helps us to progress, grow, and achieve within our careers and our personal lives. I live the values, skills, and behaviors that I talk with my clients about and I believe in these strategies and approaches because I have seen them work.
