Agustina Fougere

Agustina Fougere

19 years of experience

I am a Licensed Psychologist in Argentina and a Licensed Professional Counselor in CT. Currently I work with adults 18 years old and older. Working as a psychotherapist for almost 20 years, I would like to help you find joy and balance in your life. I work with a person-centered, strength-based approach and a solution-focused perspective. I strongly believe that, as human beings, we are capable to modify patterns and habits for other ones that would take us to a healthier version of our own selves.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session together, we'll start with brief introductions, I am interested on getting to know you so I may ask you some detailed questions. We'll discuss the specific challenges you're facing and we'll explore previous attempts to resolve them in order to develop new and creative attempts . This will help me create an individualized tailored plan for us to work through in follow-up sessions.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

My years of experience working with different client's challenges is definitely a strength. I am caring, empathetic and open minded. I have experience working respectfully of individual differences with people from different cultures and backgrounds.

My treatment methods

Integrative therapy is an individualized, holistic approach to therapy that combines ideas and techniques from different therapeutic schools of thought depending on the unique needs of a given client. Integrative therapists can often offer a more flexible and inclusive approach to treatment than those who practice singular forms of psychotherapy. Ideally, therapist and client will work together to understand the sources of the anxiety, unhappiness, physical discomfort, or unhealthy behavior patterns.
