I'm an Army veteran, martial artist, and holistic psychotherapist. I use my experience from the military and martial arts to create a unique approach to a client's mental health. I help clients get to know different versions of themselves and ultimately put their true Self back in the leadership role. This involves helping clients get to know different parts of their personality more intimately so that they can better understand why they do what they do. This experience is handled with care and compassion in a direct way and helps change a client's model of themselves, others, and the world around us.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

During our first session, the client and I will get to know each other better. Clients can ask me questions about whatever they'd like so that they can be more comfortable in the therapy room. I will also introduce my therapeutic style to the client and provide psychoeducation on how it works. If there is time, we will do some exercises to either give the client coping skills, or to begin the process of getting to know their different parts of their personality.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

My ability to understand a client's suffering without judgement has served me well as a clinician and allows me to connect with clients more quickly and effectively than other clinicians. Clients seem to sense that I too have been through my own experiences of suffering, and that I am there to help. I am also clear and concise in my explanations, helping clients to understand and navigate the sometimes-confusing clinical jargon that gets thrown around.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

While I like to help all kinds of people, my treatment style is much more effective with clients who actively want change in their lives and are motivated to implement different strategies discussed and taught in the therapy room. I use mindfulness techniques, as well as breathing exercises to help my client's get in touch with their emotions and much more. People who are interested in these types of exercises are generally well suited to my style as well. I am a direct therapist too and enjoy cultivating a relationship with my clients who can also be direct with me. I am here to help my clients solve their own problems, not solve their problems for them. If you a client is motivated for change, I'm ready to serve.

My treatment methods

Internal Family Systems (IFS)

I integrate holistic practices with a trauma- and Internal Family Systems (IFS)-informed approach to help clients reconnect with their inner capacity for clarity, compassion, and self-leadership while developing a conscious, respectful relationship with their internal parts. I believe each person has an unbroken, whole aspect of themselves that exists beneath protective patterns shaped by past experiences and can guide healing and meaningful change. In IFS this is called the Self; in Buddhism, Buddha-nature; in Hindu philosophy, the Atman; and in Christian traditions, it is often experienced through the presence of the Holy Spirit. Indigenous traditions may describe this wisdom not as an isolated inner entity, but as a deeply relational life force that exists in connection with nature, community, and lived experience. My role as a therapist is to help you access Self-energy and approach your parts with curiosity rather than judgment, allowing protective patterns to soften and reorganize without forcing change. This work supports greater internal trust, reduced inner conflict, and more intentional responses in daily life, in a way that is personally and culturally meaningful to you.

EMDR

EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is an evidence-based, trauma-focused approach that helps the brain and nervous system reprocess distressing memories that remain “stuck” and continue to trigger present-day symptoms. Instead of relying on detailed retelling, EMDR uses bilateral stimulation (such as eye movements, tapping, or tones) while the client holds aspects of a memory in mind, which supports the nervous system in resolving the experience and updating the meaning attached to it. My approach is structured, paced, and skills-first. We begin with education and preparation, including stabilization tools (grounding, containment, and nervous system regulation) so you feel equipped to handle what arises. From there, we identify specific targets connected to current triggers and negative self-beliefs, and we reprocess them using a clear, step-by-step protocol. As the memory resolves, we strengthen more accurate and self-supporting beliefs, reduce body-based distress, and integrate the gains into daily life. EMDR in my practice is collaborative and consent-based: you remain in control, we move at a pace that supports safety, and the goal is not to relive trauma—but to help your system complete what it couldn’t complete then, so you can respond to the present with more calm, confidence, and flexibility.

Hypnotherapy

Hypnosis is a natural, focused state of awareness that allows direct access to the subconscious patterns shaping behavior, emotion, and perception. I use hypnosis as an active, collaborative process to help clients loosen outdated beliefs formed through past experiences and replace them with beliefs that are more aligned with their current values, goals, and identity. My approach is grounded, intentional, and client-led. Hypnosis is never about loss of control; clients remain aware, autonomous, and engaged throughout the process. We work only with material the client is ready to address, and all suggestions are purposeful, relevant, and aligned with what the client wants to integrate into their life. I often combine hypnosis with elements of mindfulness, somatic awareness, parts work, performance psychology, and metaphor. This allows change to occur not just cognitively, but at the level where habits, emotional responses, and automatic reactions are formed. For many clients, this leads to faster and more embodied change than talk therapy alone. Hypnosis in my practice is practical, respectful, and results-oriented—used to build insight, flexibility, emotional regulation, and lasting internal shifts rather than temporary symptom relief.

Direct communication and VERY respectful right away. He made sure I was finished talking, even when I had long pauses. Very patient when I lost my train of thought. Thorough with intake process and open to explaining things in different ways to make sure I understood. His Outgoing, confident personality helped me feel comfortable and even a bit more confident to open up.
