(he/him)
Hello! I'm Brooks, and I am glad you found me. I understand that life can be stressful. Sometimes we, as human beings, struggle. You may feel like you are being pulled in many directions or you may be struggling with depression or anxiety. I work with people from many walks of life. If you are struggling with past trauma, depression, anxiety, or something else, I would like the opportunity to help you on your journey. We can work together towards your goals.
In our first session, we will discuss your reason for seeking therapy, some of your history, and identify goals for therapy. You will also have the opportunity to discuss any issues or concerns you have about therapy. It is important to me to get to know you as a client and start to provide an environment where you feel welcome.
I work with you to form a relationship built on trust and professionalism. I provide a space where you can be heard and grow. I specialize in OCD and anxiety disorders.
I work best with individuals who feel stuck in cycles of anxiety, overthinking, or self-doubt, and who are ready for a more grounded and compassionate way forward. Many of my clients are thoughtful, introspective people who want to understand themselves better but often feel overwhelmed by their thoughts or emotions. I help clients navigate concerns such as anxiety, intrusive thoughts, fear of failure, and persistent worry, as well as deeper questions about identity, purpose, and meaning. I also support individuals who feel emotionally exhausted from trying to “hold it all together” or who are hard on themselves despite genuinely wanting to grow. My approach is especially helpful for those who are open to learning new ways of relating to their thoughts and feelings rather than trying to eliminate them. Together, we focus on building psychological flexibility, self-compassion, and practical skills so clients can move toward the life they want—even in the presence of discomfort.

Brooks was a great listener. He shared his style of counseling with me and we talked about a plan for moving forward with therapy. I look forward to working with him.
