I am Uchechi Nwosu-Iroha. I am dual board certified as a Psychiatric Mental Health and Family Nurse Practitioner. I support my clients through a comprehensive approach that includes medication management, therapy, and coaching. I am deeply passionate about people and their well-being. My goal is to help clients gain insight into how their behaviors impact their lives and experiences, empowering them to thrive in all aspects of health and wellness. I earned my Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from California State University, Chico, and completed the Versant RN Residency Program at Northridge Hospital Medical Center. I then pursued my Master of Science in Nursing/Family Nurse Practitioner degree at Charles Drew University of Medicine and Science, followed by my Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner certification at National University. My clinical nursing career began in August 2010 as a cardiovascular nurse at Northridge Hospital. Over the years, I have worked in diverse healthcare settings, providing both inpatient and outpatient care. I became a Family Nurse Practitioner in 2015 and later expanded my expertise as a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. Currently, I provide patient care via telemedicine as a PMHNP. Outside of work, I cherish spending time with my family, singing, cooking Nigerian delicacies, and watching movies. I released a music single in September 2021 and am currently working on another project.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

Your first session is all about getting to know you. I create a safe, non-judgmental space where you can share your concerns, goals, and what brought you to seek support. We’ll discuss your mental health history, current challenges, and any previous treatments or medications. If you’re seeking medication management, I’ll review your symptoms, medical background, and treatment options, ensuring we develop a plan that aligns with your needs and comfort level. For those interested in therapy, we’ll explore your experiences, coping strategies, and goals to create a personalized approach for your healing journey. Most importantly, this session is about you feeling heard, supported, and empowered. Together, we’ll take the first step toward a treatment plan that fosters balance, growth, and well-being.
