My name is Noraliz Nagarsheth, and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Florida. I am glad you have decided to reach out for help, and I hope to help you find the best fit to meet your unique needs. I have been a social worker since 2012. I have worked as an outpatient mental health therapist, social worker case manager, and home health care social worker before venturing into private practice as a telehealth mental health therapist.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

During our first session, we will focus on getting to know you and your story. This is an opportunity for us to discuss your goals, any challenges you’re facing, and what you hope to achieve through our work together. It is also a time for me to ask questions that will help me better understand your needs and experiences. From there, we will collaborate to create a personalized treatment plan tailored specifically to your goals and circumstances. This session sets the foundation for our work and ensures that we approach your journey in the most effective and meaningful way. In the sessions following the first session, we will focus on addressing current challenges and collaboratively working toward your goals. Our approach will emphasize solution-focused strategies, incorporating mindset work to foster growth and resilience. If trauma is the primary issue, we will integrate EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) as a critical therapeutic method to process and heal past experiences. This tailored approach ensures that each session is practical and meaningful, guiding you toward lasting progress and well-being.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

My passion is to help clients find meaning in life and understand life events by searching for awareness and unraveling patterns in their emotions, thoughts, and belief systems, gaining insight into their current selves and what led them to be in the present moment. Once we unraveled the thoughts and identified the limiting beliefs, I like to find and implement strategies and techniques that would challenge those beliefs to promote new behaviors that will empower clients to live fulfilling lives. Although I have my preferences in therapy, I believe that everyone is unique in their way. My goal is to utilize a therapy technique that will best fit your personality and help you accomplish your treatment goals.

Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.

I specialize in working with individuals with a history of trauma experiencing symptoms of anxiety & depression.

My treatment methods

EMDR

EMDR therapy is an integrative psychotherapy method that repeatedly uses bilateral stimulation to activate opposite sides of the brain. Therapists often use eye movements to facilitate bilateral stimulation. These eye movements mimic the period of sleep referred to as rapid eye movement or REM sleep. This portion of sleep is frequently considered when the mind processes recent events in the person’s life. EMDR seems to help the brain reprocess the trapped memories, so that standard information processing is resumed. Therapists often use EMDR to help clients uncover and process beliefs developed from relational traumas or childhood abuse or neglect.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, or CBT, is a short-term, problem-focused form of behavioral treatment that helps people see the difference between beliefs, thoughts, and feelings and free them from unhelpful behavior patterns. CBT is grounded in the belief that a person’s perception of events – rather than the events themselves – determines how they will feel and act in response.

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

Solution-Focused Therapy (SFT) is a short-term, goal-focused, evidence-based therapeutic approach that incorporates positive psychology principles and practices. It helps clients change by constructing solutions rather than focusing on problems.
