Hello, and thank you for checking out my profile page. I applaud you for deciding to enter therapy. It has never been a better time than now. I know that you have a lot of options and choices in selecting a provider, and I am grateful to be one who you are considering to work with. When you make the decision to find someone to talk with, it is so important that you find the right person that feels best for you. I believe in making this process work for you. Should you decide to work with me, I operate from the premise that we are working together, and that you know yourself best and what will work for you. My goal is to provide a supportive and compassionate environment where you can feel safe in addressing items that are personal to you, from the more general ideas to the personal feelings that can make us feel vulnerable. I work with individuals and couples around issues related to relationships, anxiety and depression, as well as self esteem and self worth. Together we will work from a whole person approach to address items and issues related to mind, body, and spirit with a goal to help you feel your best self. In our sessions together, I'll meet you with compassion and evidence-based techniques so you can overcome the faulty belief patterns and habits holding you back.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session together, I will spend a bit of time learning about you and discovering the needs and wants that you have for therapy at this time. By gathering this information in a supportive and safe environment, we can chart out the course for our future time together.

What treatment methods and tools do you utilize?

I engage my clients in a very client centered, strengths based approach. What this means is that focus of the sessions will be on you and where you are in your process at all times. We call that "meeting the client where they are at". I also operate from a strengths based approach, which means we will be identifying and building on the strengths and skills that you already have with in you. I also utilize many cognitive-behavioral techniques and interventions which can help you with the integration of mindful thought/feeling/behavior sequences to help lessen anxiety or depression, and deal with trauma. Finally, I also employ narrative techniques to help you realize a new narrative for yourself from a healthy vantage point.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

Throughout the course of my career, I have worked with a myriad of populations, working on a wide variety of issues and concerns. I was trained from a trauma informed lens, understanding the degree to which trauma affects all things around us and how we behave. I have also had much satisfaction dealing with artistic and creative type individuals. I am keenly interested in the stages of our life and how they come to play out for us, positively and negatively, at all the various ages. I think humor and relational skills are so important in the therapeutic process and can help us all navigate through our complex worlds.
