Hi! I'm Erin. So many of us deal with anxiety and unresolved trauma on top of the stressors of everyday life. I believe that no matter your reason for seeking therapy, you deserve an individualized approach that accounts for your lifestyle, environment, and changing needs and capacities. We will work together to explore past and current experiences that influence the way you feel about yourself and the world around you. I will support you in developing practical skills and ways of thinking that you can use to navigate day-to-day life, transitions, and difficulties as they occur. My approach is casual, person-centered, and trauma-informed. I am authentic and approachable, and provide a therapeutic environment that does not enforce a power differential.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session together, we will start with brief introductions and general intake information. Then we will dive in to the specifics of what brings you to therapy. This will help us identify how we will approach subsequent sessions.

What treatment methods and tools do you utilize?

I always utilize a person-centered approach as the core of my work, and draw most commonly from acceptance and commitment therapy, interpersonal therapy, and motivational interviewing. All of this is done through a culturally competent, anti-oppression lens.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

My biggest strengths are working collaboratively with you on finding radical self-acceptance, coping with anxiety and stressors in a way that is realistic for your life, processing trauma and other life experiences that influence your perspective, and helping you work through relationship issues. While I have experience working with most age groups, the folks I currently work with are between the ages of 18-75. The bulk of my work with these people is focused on trauma processing, coping with anxiety and depression, working through interpersonal issues, and dealing with adversity, particularly based on social position.
