Hello! I am an LCSW who has been practicing in the field for over a decade. I primarily work with children, adolescents and young adults but my space is open for anyone! I specialize in bringing an empowered and person- centered approach to my work because I believe true healing comes from us working together. Some of my passions include empowerment of minority communities, trauma-informed care, self-advocacy and connecting my clients to other resources and information to serve them in all areas of life. I absolutely love what I do and aim to be transparent, honest, and to make therapy feel like a comfortable and welcoming experience (not a doctor's appointment!) I believe in humanizing the challenges we all go through, and I'm honored to be part of other's healing journey.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

My first session is typically aimed at introducing myself so you know who I am (to make the space more comfortable). I will review our mutual expectations, confidentiality and then give you the space to tell me what you'd like from me. It should feel more like a conversation than an interview, to make sure we're a good fit for one another.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I have been told that my greatest strengths are being able to connect with others and make them feel at home (even when they did not want therapy), my flexibility and adaptability, making therapy "fun" when possible and truly using a person-centered, individualized treatment approach.

Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.

I am open to client's of all ages, backgrounds, identities, etc. Though I am most experienced in working with neurodivergence (ADHD, Autism), the LGBTQ+ community, the BIPOC community, children and families, pre-teens, teens, young adults and women.

My treatment methods

Attachment-based

I frequently use the latest research to implement Attachment Theory into my work with individuals and families. Understanding one's Attachment Style is crucial to improving relationships, communication and overall quality of life.

Culturally Sensitive Therapy

The core of my practice is providing individualized care that recognizes, honors, and incorporates the unique cultural experiences and challenges that impact us all.

Mind-body approach

With my background in pre-med biology and my education as a therapist, I fully belive in prioritizing both the mind and body in my practice through holistic intervention methods.

Child Parent Psychotherapy

The majority of my experience is in working with children and families. For over a decade I have worked with children and their families on navigating many of life's challenges, while improving their relationships along the way.

Trauma Informed Care

One of my specialties has been supporting children and adults with working through trauma. I incorporate trauma-informed practices into all of my work to make my practice a safe space for all.
