I chose social work and psychotherapy as a career because I have always enjoyed getting to know people, and sharing struggles, challenges and successes. Solving puzzles is fun for me and I love helping others feel comfortable with self-exploration, identifying goals and discovering resolution. Most of my life has been about learning, working, raising family, and building connections. I’m convinced that every day alive is a gift and every relationship is worth attention.
After brief introductions, we will explore your beliefs and expectations about therapy, any prior experiences, seek to define your specific concerns and goals for therapy, and agree on an initial plan of action to reach those goals.
Beyond my formal education, licensing and over 20 years of experience in mental health, private practice and overseeing clinical services at Vet Centers serving Veterans, I believe my greatest strength as a therapist is the result of growing through my own life experiences. Regardless of what you might be going through, know that you are not alone. I would be honored to get to know you, explore your strengths and options with you, and celebrate your success!

As a therapist, I draw from a wide variety of therapeutic concepts rather than any specific modality. I utilize ACT, CBT, CPT, Motivational Interviewing, etc., as needed, and explore areas of mindfulness, existentialism and spirituality with my clients.
