Hello! l am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) based in Indiana. I have worked with children of all ages and families for nearly 20 years and have a passion for supporting teens and young adults in their journey of self-discovery and healing. I love working with people from all walks of life who are wanting to create a better life for themselves.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

My goal in the first session is to help you feel welcome and safe just as you are. We will discuss your reasons for seeking therapy and the specific areas you'd like to address. We will work together to create a treatment plan that will guide us in future sessions.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

Regardless of age or challenge in life, I want you to feel seen, heard, and understood in every session. You are the expert in your life and in your family or relationships. I have the knowledge and experience to walk alongside you on your path to a better life.

My treatment methods

Strength-Based

I utilize a strengths-based approach in my treatment to help clients recognize the many strengths they already have that can support them in meeting the goals they set for themselves.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

CBT is a great foundational treatment that helps clients recognize the thoughts, feelings and behaviors that may be disrupting their ability to function and make progress in the areas of life they are wanting to change or improve.

Family Therapy

Family Therapy is key to improving the relationships within a family and to improve its overall functioning. I often encourage family therapy when working with children and teens.

Gender-affirming therapy

Affirming the identity of my clients is crucial. Forming a therapeutic relationship based on safety and acceptance is a key component of my practice.

Trauma Informed Care

I believe we are all impacted by trauma in some way throughout our lives. Having a trauma-informed approach can help my clients recognize how previous or current trauma may be creating challenges in their lives so they are able to begin the process of healing.
