I'm so glad you're here, especially when you're already managing the complexities of trauma, addiction, anxiety, depression and the demands of life and career. Each phase of life comes with new experiences, challenges and anxieties, and how you feel and respond can make or break these moments. Exploring what makes you who you are and what in your life has shaped who you are is important to both trauma management and everyday life. My practice is designed to walk with you in the good and difficult moments both past and present, and help you use your strengths to move through them with greater confidence.
Expect a relaxed, safe start. We'll explore what brings you in, your background, and your goals, ensuring you feel heard without pressure. This time is for us to build rapport, answer your questions, and collaboratively decide if we’re a good fit for your healing journey.
I offer an integrated approach to therapy based completely on your needs and personality. My primary modalities include: psychodynamic, cognitive behavioral, emotionally focused, trauma-based, internal family systems and dialectical behavioral therapy.
If you are a young adult or older this is the place for you. I enjoy working with those of you that have experienced trauma and are significantly affected by their thoughts, feelings and emotions on a regular basis. The word "trauma" is relative and you belong here whether you think your trauma is not "bad enough" or not. You do not have to worry about telling me all of the details of your past or life right away, we can work with where you are. This is your space to just be you and trust the process together.
Other specialties
I identify as
Psychodynamic
With this method we can explore how past experiences can affect our future. We explore past relationships, childhood, traumas and positive experiences to assist the client in gaining insight into current challenges and ways to begin the healing process.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I utilize this method for clients who are struggling to manage their day to day thoughts, feelings and actions. We will explore cognitive distortions, challenge core beliefs, build mindfulness skills, and create safety for trauma work.
Trauma Informed Care
I utilize this method with clients dealing with all trauma by establishing safety, identifying and managing difficult feelings, identifying and managing triggers, identifying and managing mal-adaptive coping skills, mindfulness and body awareness training, etc.
Dialectical Behavior (DBT)
I utilize with clients managing challenges related to addiction or personality disorders. This can assist in managing thoughts and feelings that are overwhelming as well as learning skills to shift thinking patterns to a more healthy thought process.
Internal Family Systems (IFS)
I utilize this method for clients who have challenges understanding their thoughts, feelings and emotions. Also to externalize and explore reasons they are experiencing these particular thoughts, feelings and emotions.
