My name is Krystal Hall and I am a licensed clinical mental health counselor, as well as a licensed clinical addiction specialist. I am also the owner of Joy's New Beginnings Counseling Services. For the past ten years, I had the pleasure of assisting individuals in obtaining a new way of life without the day-to-day experience of problematic symptoms related to their own mental health and/or substance use. I have worked in many different roles including individual therapist, group therapist, clinical supervisor, and community advocate.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

Clients can expect our first session to be about 60 mins of data collection for the initial assessment, in which we will identify your overall goals for therapy and discuss different interventions and approaches to assist us in accomplishing what you are looking for through individual therapy sessions. We also will review diagnosed disorders and recommendations for future sessions during our first session. Our second session will begin with treatment planning, which we will use as our blueprint for upcoming therapy sessions. Treatment planning is an ongoing process, we can adjust treatment goals as needed throughout your duration of treatment.

What treatment methods and tools do you utilize?

CBT-Cognitive Behavioral Therapy is a structured, goal-oriented type of psychotherapy (talk therapy) CPT- Cognitive Processing Therapy is a specific type of cognitive behavioral therapy that helps patients learn how to modify and challenge unhelpful beliefs related to the past or current experienced trauma MI-Motivational Interviewing is a counseling method that helps people resolve mixed feelings and insecurities to find the internal motivation they need to change their behavior.
