Hey all! My name is Drew. Life is hard! There are some many different experiences in life, and some are very difficult! There's this interesting thing that happens when we encounter difficult times, we tend to push away; but we are never meant to journey alone through these times! I’m thankful that part of what I get to do is journey with people who struggle. Mr. (Fred) Rogers says that one of the best things that we can give ourselves is to be honest with who you are. We sometimes run away from who we are, or the difficulties that we have because of shame, guilt, or fear of being rejected by others…just to name a few. However, running away tends not to work and sometimes even further complicates our lives! I want to help people become the best version of themselves, given the set of circumstances they are faced with. I want to meet people where they are and help them grow into their best version!
During the first session and intake, we will explore some of the areas that you experience the most difficulty and develop a plan on how to move forward. We'll use this plan during the following sessions to help guide the way. This process is not about what I think, but rather about what you desire. You can expect collaboration to take place when we develop the plan.
I use CBT, DBT, CETA, and attachment focused approaches to help deliver treatment. I love working on stuck thoughts and trying to develop flexibility! I also work to see the relationship between our thoughts, feeling, and behaviors to try and change these patterns to be more helpful!
I have a lot of experience dealing with trauma, depression, anxiety, and love working with couples!
