In our first session together, here's what you can expect

First sessions can feel a bit challenging because it is a gathering of your history. I try and make this process smooth while also educational and validating. I also encourage asking any questions needed to feel more comfortable with the process moving forward.

The treatment methods and tools I utilize

I use evidenced based practice in a client centered approach. This incorporates a Solution Focused perspective with emphasis on Empowerment and Strengths. I also employ interventions such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Motivational Interviewing, Mindfulness, and Family Systems.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

My strengths would be my warmth and approachability. It can be very challenging feeling comfortable with someone instantly to the point of telling them your deepest concerns and emotions. I help make the process smooth and comforting. My approach is very kind even when discussing challenging topics such as change.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I work well with clients who have both depression and anxiety. All that is needed is a willingness to try and I can take over from there. This sets the strongest foundation to move forward and establish real change that has positive benefit.
