Each individual presents with unique experiences and challenges. My aim is to meet you where you are at and help you reach the next personal goal you have set whether it be self-discovery or coping with various challenges. I help by bringing humor and empathic listening to every session. I aim to understand your experience in your eyes and feel what you feel. I hope to help you see that others can help you through the challenges that you are facing. My goal is to help bring a strong connection to the time you spend with me in therapy. The connection made in therapy can lead to strong bonds in your personal life and better decision-making. Through a person-centered and solution-focused approach, we will be able to help you process trauma or discover the person you aspire to be.
Our first session is connecting and understanding your needs. It is an information gathering session but also a time to connect and see if I am the best fit for you. We explore your goals and identify ways to help achieve the improvement you want out of therapy. We also explore your history of issues and your strengths.
My biggest strength as a clinician is my humor and ability to make you feel like you can share what you are feeling and thinking without judgment. Clients who have worked with me have felt a deeper understanding of themself and find reduced pressure.
I have been utilizing motivational interviewing since i started my practice in 2014. I help clients better understand themselves and achieve their goals.
I have utilized TF-CBT with teens and am currently expanding my skillset with CBT therapy.
I have been using Solution focused treatment in conjuntion with motivational interviewing to help clients understand clear steps to achieve their goals.
