Hello, I am an LPCC in California and an LCMHC and LADC in Vermont. I have been licensed since 2008. I love learning new things and meeting new people. It is my life's passion to help others find the best of themselves. I have worked with many individuals from all walks of life and various cultures. I believe we are all trying to become self-realized and evolve beyond all our burdens, self-doubts and stress and live in a sense of calm and inner peace. I would love to help you find your inner calm and best self.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

Once all the required forms are completed, we will review and answer any questions about the process. Then spend some time to get to know each other and build some rapport by asking some open-ended questions such as... What is most important to you? When your sessions have ended what would you hope to have gained from this experience? What has worked for you or not worked in the past, along with allowing time for you to ask any questions that you may have. The most important part is to share what the reason(s) or stressors that brought you to this session and the goals you hope to achieve.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

Providing a nonjudgmental safe space to open up about your deepest fears and self-doubts or critiques. Having worked in the field for the past 20 plus years there is not much that I have not heard. Many people feel this shame about some thoughts or things from the past that they fear bringing up to talk about. Once able to feel safe to share these fears and self-doubts it clears the way for some much deeper conversations and allowing one to become aware of some unconscious beliefs, opening up a whole new perspective about themselves and the world.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

Used CBT my entire career.... learning to cognitively restructure your negative thought patterns, giving you mastery over your mental health is a skill you can use for the rest of your life.

Adlerian

We often are adjusting or adapting to major changes in life. Learning why you do what you do, why you feel what you feel.... Becoming aware of what behaviors and or belief patterns are not working for you and finding your way to a happier self.

Person-centered (Rogerian)

This is your time to share what is important to you. Providing a nonjudgmental supportive environment for you to discover yourself and realize what is important to you.
