You may be seeking therapy for various reasons, or have the feeling it might help without knowing your specific goals. I believe therapy is an opportunity for growth through an authentic relationship, and through this human connection, we can discover your goals, needs, and hopes for therapy. I most often work with queer clients, neurodivergent folks, and those with mood disorders. I offer an honest, safe, and non-hierarchical space to explore your innermost thoughts and feelings. I strive to support my clients in finding ways to thrive despite our oppressive world. If you are looking for a safe relationship to explore who you are and what you need, I would be honored to walk that path with you.
In our first session, we will review the intake assessment and get to know each other. I will ask questions about you and I also welcome you to ask questions about me. The purpose of the first session is to start to build rapport. We will begin to lay the foundation for a meaningful therapeutic relationship.
I am psychodynamically trained, which means I hold space for the impact of the past on the present, and I value making the unconscious, conscious. The therapeutic relationship is central to my practice.
I build strong and lasting connections with my clients. I am highly empathetic and strive to meet my clients with compassion and curiosity so that I may best understand their experience and join them where they are. I have been described as gentle, empathetic, and kind.
