Hi! I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker based in California . I specialize in Early Childhood Trauma, PTSD and LGBTQ issues and have been practicing for 8 years. I help adults to better understand their trauma, develop coping skills to better resolve your activated nervous system, and help to create a better relationship between your self and the past life events that are holding you back.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

During our first session I will get to know the reason you are looking for a therapist. I will gather some information about you and share a little bit about myself so that we can both decide if we are a good fit for each other. If we are not a good fit I will help you find someone that might be a better fit.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I feel that my ability to understand how layered trauma impacts individuals and their experience with the world is one of my largest strengths. The relationship I have with my clients is very important and build on a foundation of respect and desire to help create peace for their life, because of this, I feel that an additional strength of mine is my ability to address things with compassion.

My treatment methods

Internal Family Systems (IFS)

I have noticed that individuals with early childhood traumas or particularly hard traumas to process through, often get stuck in their therapeutic process. Through using internal family systems, I am able to help the client isolate the specific parts within that are holding on to the trauma/traumas and teach them skills that allow for the full processing and soothing of past traumatic events.

Attachment-based

We are all hardwired with an attachment style based on our life experiences. I help clients better understand their attachment style and address issues that may arise due to attachment needs.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

Our cognitions create feelings and our feelings drive our behaviors. I help clients to isolate their thoughts and become more aware of how their thoughts and feelings are driving their behaviors.

Gender-affirming therapy

It is so important to feel respected and understood as a unique human. I work with clients to explore and accept what feels most natural to them, their body and mind.

Trauma-Focused CBT

I will often braid Trauma Focused CBT with Internal Family systems to help address traumas that may be difficult to process.
