Hi there, I'm Amy. I offer a mindfulness based approach to life's struggles. Together we can identify what is not working and get you back to feeling like yourself again. Whether you are dealing with relationship difficulties, mood concerns, life adjustments, or substance use, I can provide you with a safe space to achieve your best self.
After the first session, we will do a wrap up and confirm the goals you would like to work on in treatment, as well as ensure we have a next scheduled appointment. I find handouts helpful if there are particular "change" skills we would like to incorporate in sessions and can send these via email after our session if you like, so you have them in your therapy "toolbox" to reference.
I utilize Cognitive Behavioral therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), Solution-Focused Therapy, Interpersonal Psychotherapy, Trauma-Focused CBT, Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR).
I enjoy working with clients with substance use, emotional dysregulation, and trauma. I have used DBT in group and individual settings and enjoy incorporating mindful meditation techniques to decrease anxiety.
