Hi. I am Denise DeBrady, LCSW. I graduated from the University of Connecticut with a Master's degree in Social Work. I am an experienced Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor. I work with clients of all ages, and using a warm, safe environment, assist my clients to identify their strengths, goals, and abilities to cope with and overcome their symptoms and discomforts.
In our first session, we will introduce ourselves and discuss what has brought you here. We will also talk about the goals you would like to focus on and how we will achieve them.
My greatest strength is engaging with my client and being able to provide the safety and insight you need to identify subversive patterns of thought and behavior and move toward a more functional, confident approach to life.
I’ve been using CBT in my practice for the past fifteen years. It’s helped dozens of clients challenge negative thoughts and better manage their anxiety. We’ll use CBT to recognize how your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors influence each other. We’ll then use that knowledge to change your thinking patterns, which will help you lead a less anxious and stressed life.
