What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session we will review what brings you to therapy, and create some goals of how you would like your life to look like 3 months, 6 months, 3 years from now based on what you have learned during our sessions together. Usual course of treatment can vary from 12 weeks to a year, depending on needs of client. We go at your own pace.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

As a neurodivergent, chronic illness warrior and first generation Latinx therapist I know what is like to feel different, anxious and overwhelmed. And I also know it is possible to get to a better place with the right tools and support. That’s where I come in. I hope you can join me soon so I can help you find your own path to balance. My treatment methods

Mind-body approach

My practice is based on a mind-body approach. In order to be able to learn how to best assist ourselves emotionally, we must learn how to regulate our nervous system, and regulate our body to best handle any triggers which may come our way.

Positive Psychology

I utilize quite a few techniques which include concepts based in positive psychology. This is not to be confused with "toxic positivity." We will work on ways to integrate more positive elements which can bring you joy and help you regain control of your life by figuring out what is it that makes you, you. What is your essence? And from there, go into ways in which you can thrive based on what we find out makes you, you.

Trauma Informed Care

Everything that I do is based on a trauma informed model. I go at your pace, based on what is necessary to help you thrive in this season of therapy. While not everything may be able to be covered, after all, we have to go at the pace the body is comfortable with. Your body, once you learn how to listen to it via therapy, will tell you how to best assist yourself and how far you can go. We will listen, and we will go at the pace that is best for you.

Strength-Based

We focus on your strengths. We all have them, but sometimes we forget for whatever reason that we do. In therapy, I help you bring them back from the shadows and re-integrate them to help you on your journey.

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

Based on the needs of the client, we can do shorter term treatments. All treatment is expected to be short term treatment to best assist client in rebuilding their lives and return to fully functioning with the tools learned in session. This is no long term therapy for years, we want you to enjoy your life now, and my job is to teach you to be your own therapist and leave the nest and graduate as soon as you feel comfortable to do so.
