Hello 👋 I am a licensed Clinical Social Worker, holding a master's degree from Austin Peay State University. With six years of experience in the field, I offer comprehensive and compassionate support to clients who require therapy and counseling services. Drawing on my background and training, I am fully committed to providing the best possible care to my clients.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

The initial session serves as the foundation for our therapeutic journey, ensuring that we are well-prepared to work together effectively and to achieve desired outcomes. In our first session, clients can expect a comprehensive intake process. We will begin by gathering general information to establish a foundation for our work together. Next, we'll focus on building a strong rapport, as I believe a trusting and comfortable therapeutic relationship is essential. Finally, we will work collaboratively towards creating a personalized treatment plan, tailored to the client's specific needs so they can reach their specific goals.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

My greatest strengths as a therapist include a deep passion for helping others, attentive listening skills, the ability to create a non-judgmental space for clients, and a commitment to ongoing self-improvement.

My treatment methods

Person-centered (Rogerian)

Taking a non-directive approach, allows the client to lead as much as possible, I often seeing clients as the expert of their own experiences. Three major components that help me cultivate relationships are empathy, unconditional positive regard, and congruence and genuineness.

Attachment-based

Have the client reflect on their relationships with their primary caregiver. Helping the client see how behavior's may be a reflection of early childhood dynamics. Looking at attachment wounding by telling their stories in a safe therapeutic environment.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

Working with clients using techniques such as journaling, exposure therapy, relaxation techniques, vivid imagery, role play, and the 3 C's: Catch it, Check it, and Change it.

Gestalt

A humanistic form of therapy with a holistic view. As the therapist I refrain from interpreting the event. Helping the client to step into his/her own awareness leading them to greater knowledge and acceptance of patterns. Using the empty chair technique allows the client to reconnect with parts of themselves.
