Hello there. Therapy with me is not a place where you are given band-aids. While many techniques I employ can help in the immediate, our goal is to find long-lasting change. This may be uncomfortable or difficult at times, but through that discomfort comes deeper understanding and insight, and ultimately a more healed and meaningful existence. All of this is done in the warmest, most supportive environment possible. Hard work can be wrapped in comfort and support to make the journey a little less hard. I want you to feel safe even during difficult moments. The most important person in our sessions is you. You are the focus, and I am unashamedly on your side - our goal is to help you reach your most authentic self. I will push you to do the hard work but also be your biggest cheerleader. We will take on challenges together; you will never be alone.
When working with me, you can expect a holistic approach to therapy that draws from a range of evidence-based techniques including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), feminist therapy, intersectional therapy, and existential therapy. I provide a safe and non-judgmental space for you to explore the unconscious factors that influence your behavior and relationships. Whether you’re struggling with grief, relationship issues, trauma, or personality disorders such as borderline or narcissistic personality disorder, I have the expertise to help you navigate these challenges. No matter your age, identity, or background, I am committed to hearing your story without judgment and providing a safe and compassionate space for your healing. I promise to not only listen to you, but to authentically engage with you. I believe in creating a genuine human connection with you, so that we can work collaboratively towards lasting change and healing. I promise to show up as a real person (who happens to know a lot about psychology), and I invite you to do the same. I cannot wait to meet you, and to hear your story.

Psychodynamic treatment methods are therapeutic approaches that focus on uncovering and understanding the unconscious thoughts, emotions, and motivations that influence an individual's behavior and relationships. These methods involve exploring past experiences, often from childhood, to identify how early life experiences shape one's current patterns and beliefs. By gaining insight into these underlying dynamics, clients can work towards resolving inner conflicts, improving self-awareness, and fostering personal growth and change.
Attachment-based treatments are therapeutic approaches rooted in the understanding of how early attachment experiences between individuals, typically between parents and children, impact emotional and relational well-being throughout life. These treatments aim to explore and repair attachment patterns that may be disrupted or dysfunctional, often resulting from childhood experiences. By fostering secure attachments and addressing attachment-related challenges, these therapies help individuals build healthier relationships and emotional resilience.
Trauma-informed care treatments are therapeutic approaches that prioritize understanding and addressing the impact of trauma on individuals' physical, emotional, and psychological well-being. These treatments recognize that trauma can have lasting effects on a person's life and behavior, and they emphasize safety, trust, and empowerment as key principles in the healing process. Practitioners of trauma-informed care create a supportive and non-judgmental environment where clients can explore their trauma experiences, build resilience, and work towards recovery with sensitivity and compassion.
Cognitive-behavioral treatments are evidence-based therapeutic approaches that focus on the relationship between thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. These treatments aim to identify and modify negative thought patterns and beliefs that contribute to emotional distress and dysfunctional behaviors. By teaching clients how to challenge and reframe unhelpful thoughts, cognitive-behavioral therapies help individuals develop more adaptive coping strategies and achieve positive changes in their mental health and well-being.
While Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) is primarily designed for couples, its principles and techniques can also be adapted effectively for individual therapy. In individual sessions, EFT can help clients explore their emotional experiences, attachment patterns, and underlying feelings of distress or insecurity. By using EFT principles, therapists can assist individuals in gaining insight into their emotional struggles, fostering self-compassion, and developing healthier ways of relating to themselves and others. This approach can be particularly valuable for individuals dealing with issues related to self-esteem, self-worth, and the impact of past relational experiences on their emotional well-being.
