Supportive

Focusing on creating a therapeutic environment where the client feels heard, validated, and encouraged. Including techniques such as active listening, providing reassurance, and offering emotional support to help cope with stress, anxiety, depression, or trauma. Maintaining a non-judgmental stance building confidence, self-esteem, and coping skills, often through reinforcement of strengths and progress.

Couples Counseling

Assisting couples in identifying patterns in their emotional responses and how they affect their relationship. It focuses on creating secure attachments by fostering emotional responsiveness and improving communication.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

Blending cognitive-behavioral techniques with mindfulness practices, aiming to help individuals manage emotions, develop coping strategies, and improve relationships. Has been found useful in treating symptoms of depression, anxiety, and trauma-related disorders.

Child Parent Psychotherapy

Focusing on improving interpersonal relationships and social functioning to help reduce symptoms, particularly depression. In my experience basing it on the idea that personal issues in relationships can contribute to mental health challenges, and that improving communication patterns and relationship dynamics can alleviate distress.
