Hi, I'm Lizzie! If you are reading this, I'm proud of you. Starting a journey to get support or become a better version of yourself isn't easy - and you are already doing just that. I hold a bachelor's degree in Psychology from Lafayette College and a master’s degree in Social Work from Temple University. I have worked in the hospital setting (inpatient, research and outpatient clinic), schools, community mental health, and private practice outpatient settings (both in-person and virtually), and have worked with kids, teenagers, and adults. I have always been someone who finds fulfillment in supporting the people around me. I am a child of divorce, part of a blended family, proud dog mom, have struggled with anxiety, have a complicated relationship with food, lover of all things arts and crafts and am always looking for ways to make my at home coffee taste like it does when I buy it out. I pride myself in my ability to be direct and honest - I am human and make mistakes every day just like my clients. I believe in taking a collaborative, solution-focused, and person centered approach to therapy (which starts with getting to know you as a person - not a mental health diagnosis). As a therapist, one of my favorite things to do is help people recognize their unique strengths. Throughout the therapeutic process, I like to explore those hidden talents with you so that you can learn to celebrate, embrace, and use your gifts in practical ways. It is my hope that everyone leaves a conversation with me feeling empowered and excited to create changes that move them one step closer to their goals and being the best version of themselves. Let’s chat and see if I’m a good fit to help you be your best self!

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

Clients can expect to be treated as a whole person right from the start. Everyone has a story to tell, and it goes far beyond any mental health challenges they are facing. I want to hear the whole story and will begin our work with asking someone to share only what they are comfortable with. From there, I will work hard to create a safe and judgement-free environment so we can begin to work together in identifying goals to strive for in our time together.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I specialize in supporting individuals that are experiencing major (and minor) life transitions. Change is hard for everyone and often comes with feelings of anxiety. I focus on supporting my clients through life's many adventures whether it's going to college and living on their own for the first time, moving back home to try and figure out what comes next, getting a new job, having their first child, having their first neuro-divergent child, and everything in between. I also feel that self-disclosure is a powerful tool in therapy and I use this tool in a way that allows my clients to know that they are not the only ones that have struggles or are alone in their adventure. I like my clients to know that I am not only challenging them to be the best versions of themselves, but I am a teammate striving to do the same every day.

My treatment methods

Strength-Based

Every person is unique and has something to offer. I provide a space that allows for a person to explore their talents, without judgement, in order to discover how those talents can be 'translated' to support them in real-life situations.
