Hi, my name is Manzie and I'm passionate about seeing people live their best lives. My therapeutic approach is non judgemental, positive, relaxed and fun. I do challenge my clients to bring out the best in them. Additionally, we have fun. My professional experiences include school counseling, inpatient substance abuse therapist and correctional health therapist. I believe that we can over-come barriers and obstacles. I have experienced war, rejection and relationship challenges. Every challenge is a gift. How we look at it is a key factor. I look forward to working with you.
Our first session will include discussing the intake process, the GAD and PHQ. We will talk about goals for therapy. I will also answer any questions you may have. This is our getting started session.

CBT is a therapeutic model with a focus on the relationship between thoughts, feelings and beliefs, and how they impact behaviors. Additionally, CBT helps a person become aware of negative or inaccurate thinking, so they can respond to challenging situations more effectively. Strategies include but are not limited to: learning new skills (problem solving, communication, emotional regulation, relationship), gaining confidence and self-worth, self compassion, facing fears and challenges and replacing unhelpful thoughts with more realistic ones.
We use the Bible, biblical resources and biblical teachings with the principles of psychology to address mental health.
