My name is Nathan, I have over 10 years experience in the therapy field. I love working with families and couples. I have extensive experience in addiction and Mental Health. I am a Combat Veteran so I have a strong desire to work with Veterans and 1st responders. I am approachable and always see the best in people even if they are struggling to see it themselves.
In our 1st session it will just seem like we are two friends having a conversation. I will not use some "Jedi mind trick" on you it will just be a simple and non-intrusive conversation. Hopefully you will leave lighter then when you came in and hopeful.
I have positive regard at all times. I do not judge or have any desire to change who you are, I just want you to recognized your strengths and apply them to you situation.
I use SFBT with couples and families. The main reason for this is to focus on the solution and not the problems. This seems to be really helpful with couples and families overcoming adversity.
DBT is great for those struggling with Mental health and addiction. DBT takes the approach of allowing the Client to change actions and behaviors to yield better results.
