I use CBT to help you take a close look at your thoughts and emotions. You’ll come to understand how your thoughts affect your actions. Through CBT, you can unlearn negative thoughts and behaviors and learn to adopt healthier thinking patterns and habits. CBT usually takes place over a limited number of sessions. You will learn to identify problematic core beliefs, including central ideas about yourself and the world. People experiencing psychological issues can learn better ways of coping with them. This can help relieve their symptoms and improve their mental and emotional health.
therapist provides a list of strengths with definitions and works with the client to identify which strengths apply to them. Clients can use the list as a starting point to identify their strengths. therapist encourages the client to examine their weaknesses and identify ways these qualities can be reframed as strengths. For example, someone who worries about what others are thinking might be very compassionate and caring. This is used as a starting point to identify how these behaviors or qualities can be used to improve the client’s mindset or quality of life.
