As a 6 year therapist, I believe healing is deeply personal & I feel privileged to help others navigate their respective journeys. I'm committed to creating a space where clients feel supported & respected. I understand that everyone brings a unique set of experiences, strengths, & challenges and I strive to help others develop personal growth with empathy, understanding, professionalism and compassion.
In the first session, clients can expect to have a conversation that helps both the therapist and the client understand the background, the challenges the client is facing, and the therapy process. It’s a chance to start building rapport, clarify expectations, and establish a comfortable space where the client feels heard and understood. Important information will be gathered to guide future sessions, but you don’t need to feel pressured to dive deeply into everything immediately. Therapy is about building a relationship and working together towards the client’s goals.
As a therapist one of my core strengths is the ability to deeply empathize with clients and offer compassion without judgment. This creates a safe space where clients feel understood, supported, and able to express themselves freely. This only fosters connection with clients to build trust, which is crucial for effective therapy.
In my practice narrative therapy focuses on the stories we tell ourselves about who we are and what we go through in life, based on the idea that the way we think about our experiences shapes how we feel and act. We also take into consideration that identity is not fixed—it's something we can change, and ultimately rewrite our story.
therapy that focuses on how our thoughts, feelings, and behaviors are all connected. The idea behind CBT is that the way we think about situations can influence how we feel and act. In many cases, our thoughts can be unhelpful or even distorted, which leads to negative feelings and behaviors. CBT helps us identify and change these thoughts to improve how we feel and how we respond to situations.
Taking the time to understand and respect your unique cultural background and how it shapes your life and experiences. It means I’m aware that the way you think, feel, and interact with others might be influenced by your culture, traditions, family, religion, ethnicity, or community.
Eclectic therapy is a flexible approach to therapy where I use techniques from different therapeutic models to find what works best for you. Instead of sticking to just one type of therapy, I draw on a variety of methods, based on what’s most helpful in your particular situation. Every person is different, so it makes sense that different tools or techniques might work for different people or at different times.
In strengths-based therapy, I’ll help you explore the positive aspects of who you are, such as your talents, past successes, values, and the personal strengths you've shown in tough situations. Everyone has resources they can draw on—whether that’s your ability to stay calm in stressful situations, your creativity, your problem-solving skills, or your supportive relationships.
