Life is hard- we all need a little help and support on the journey. I see myself as walking beside the people with whom I work. Some need to look into the past and process it, receiving a different perspective on it. Some have a specific goal in mind like decreasing anxiety by learning new skills in a short period of time. Others need a listening ear, with some insights sprinkled in. Kids need to play. Adults at times benefit from clarity and analysis. What do you need? I believe the interpersonal connection between counselor and client can be healing in and of itself. People are ones that hurt us, we're also the ones that heal each other.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

We’ll start by me telling you a bit about myself. I’ll ask if you have any questions and then what brought you here. This first session is unique in that there are a lot of questions about the social/relationship, medical/health/, mental health facets of a person. Following session are more conversational.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I care a lot about my clients and that is often a healing experience for clients in and of itself. To know someone cares can instill a lot of hope in a person. I am very insightful, compassionate, and direct at times.
