Hello and welcome! I'm Diane, a Licensed Professional Counselor in Pennsylvania. My style is eclectic and is influenced by a couple of different theoretical orientations. These include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT). I pull in different mindfulness and problem-solving techniques to assist you in creating more desired outcomes. Counseling is not a 'one size fits all' endeavor and I will take time to recognize what best suits your needs and goals.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

During our first and following sessions, we will begin building a therapeutic relationship and explore your intake information to develop a treatment direction. In follow up sessions, we will work to reduce intensities so that you may reach your ideal self.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

One of my greatest strengths is being present with you. Through empathy and active listening, we will create a space that is judgement-free and promotes growth while you are on this journey. My counseling style will be tailored to meet you where you are to aid you in where you are going!

My treatment methods

Eclectic

I believe in using different treatment methods based upon the person and the situation they are experiencing. I have been trained in each approach I employ and find the flexibility to be beneficial for clients.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

In using CBT, we will challenge unwanted beliefs based on past patterns of thinking and feeling.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

When using DBT, we will aim to manage intense emotions, reduce harmful behaviors, and improve relationships, fostering a greater sense of stability and well-being.

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

With mindfulness-based therapy, we will focus on cultivating awareness and acceptance of the present moment to enhance emotional regulation and reduce stress.

Humanistic

I emphasize the importance of empathy and genuine connection, fostering a safe environment where you will feel heard and validated.
