I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker for over twenty years. The majority of my clients are dealing with work life balance, stress, anxiety, and other common issues with high stress positions. I also help clients navigate challenging stages in their life. I treat clients with anxiety, ADHD, PTSD, depression, and grief. My clientele is diverse with clients from South Asia, AAPI and Arabic backgrounds. I also have clients who are transitioning from college life and/or new residents to New York. I also have clients who are: neurodivergent (ASD), LGBTQ+ and body positive. I have experience with couples therapy. I have also worked with parents and their adult children. I also see adolescents.
I want to make clients feel at ease. I have a conversational style with my clients. I do my best to develop a rapport with my clients. My objective is to allow the clients to feel safe and accepted when they meet with me. I want the conversation to be organic. I my also also ask about family history, social life and work history to help get greater context about your needs.
I think I am able to establish trust with a client. I am very honest and straight forward with clients. I also try to support and encourage my clients when I think its appropriate. I think humor and positive feedback is essential for growth. I also think resilience is possible and that is part of my philosophy as a therapist
CBT is a therapy that focused on how your thoughts, beliefs and attitudes affect your feelings. I use CBT as one part of my approach when treating clients.
My goal is to allow couples an opportunity to discuss there issues in a productive way. I want to help couples to figure out their issues in a safe productive environment.

A trauma can be something experienced during any part of our life that may have a lasting impact on lives. In our sessions we might discuss the trauma and the impact it has had on your life.
Child psychotherapy focuses on the developmental stages of the the child or adolescent and how they may view events or process their feelings.
