Hello, I'm a Licensed Professional Counsellor (LPC) in Texas. I have been practicing for 10 years. I aspire to support, empower, and strengthen those who seek mental health support. Together, I'd like to empower you to build your own skill set. To be able to take from our sessions and apply skills to your everyday life. I've supported clients within an inpatient and outpatient setting. I believe in and utilize a combination of cognitive behavioral therapy, cognitive processing therapy, motivational interviewing, and solution-focused therapy. Each session will be client driven, you will take lead in deciding what goals you'd like to work on with my support, and work through these challenges. Each session we'll be checking in on your current well-being, review your goals, progress, and barriers prior to diving into the next agenda. Each session you'll take something to explore, and incorporate into your life.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

During an initial counseling session, I would be gathering current and past information, concerns, and goals. I will be able to explain limits of confidentiality, session expectations, and answer any questions.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

Throughout my years of practice, I've learned that being present, supportive, empathetic, and a team player in the process makes for an effective alliance and therapeutic process. We are at team working towards wellness and recovery.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, an evidence based practice, is a modality that I've received training in throughout my 10 years of practice. Cognitive therapy is based on the basic theory that thoughts influence feelings which in turn influence actions, outcomes, and life circumstances.

Cognitive Processing (CPT)

Cognitive Processing Therapy is a specific modality utilized to treat posttraumatic stress disorder. CPT is utilized to help individuals process trauma, review cognitions, experience emotional responses, and reconstruct unhelpful thinking patterns in a safe, structured, and planned environment.

Family Therapy

Family therapy is essential in the therapeutic process. Identifying a community of support begins within the family dynamics. Assuring supportive family members are educated, involved, and aware of the treatment plan, coping skills, and safety measures.

Motivational Interviewing

Motivational Interviewing addresses ambivalence through communication. This modality invites change by exploring and discovering reasons one has to make changes in their life.

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

Mindfulness, tunning in. Noticing, in the present moment without judgment. Turning into emotions, thoughts, and physiological sensations. Learning how to non-judgmentally be present and aware.
