Welcome! I'm Kate Lauretano. Take a moment to acknowledge you've taken the first step towards bettering your mental health because, let's be honest - starting therapy can be exciting, confusing, or scary all at the same time. With a person-centered approach, I hope to make this a warm, welcoming and safe space to support you through this time. I focus on helping clients who may be struggling with anxiety or depression, develop a greater sense of purpose, focus on self-esteem work, and provide helpful strategies with tending to self-care. This is a space that can be used for whatever is most helpful to you!

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session together, we'll start with introductions and time for you to become familiar and comfortable with the therapeutic process. I welcome my clients to share as much of their background and history as they feel is necessary or not, as we begin to dive into the specific challenges you are facing.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

In my practice I strive to provide a safe environment where my clients can openly share their thoughts and feelings.

Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.

My clients are individuals who are looking to make improvements or changes in their lives, but often times they feel insecure, overwhelmed and do not have the tools yet to make their goals a reality. We will work closely together to develop a plan, that outlines your personal intentions and goals.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

We all experience anxiety in some form or another, but it needs to be addressed when it starts to get in the way of our happiness or productivity. I’ve been treating Anxiety several years, mainly using CBT. In therapy we will focus on what triggers your anxious thoughts and potential automatic negative thought patterns. Then, we’ll create a plan that includes evidence-based techniques and work through it together until your anxiety is manageable.
