I am a licensed marriage and family therapist and registered art therapist providing telehealth services to TN and CA residents. As a practicing visual artist for 22 years I understand the psychological, emotional, financial and lifestyle challenges that creatives face in a world that prioritizes capitalism over creativity. I will help you to use your unique gifts and talents in order to live your life in the fullest expression of yourself.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

I will offer a calm, compassionate and understanding environment where you feel safe to express yourself. We will work together to identify your current challenges and come up with a plan as to how to address them. I will offer solutions that you can put into practice so that you can start to feel relief as soon as possible.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

My experience working in various clinical settings including hospitals, rehabilitation centers, schools and clinics has allowed me to have a strong foundation for supporting clients. My creative spirit and training as an art therapist gives me a perspective and set of skills that traditional talk therapists do not have. I offer a compassionate and safe environment that is also directive and solution focused.

My treatment methods

Mind-body approach

I believe in treating the whole person by considering how a clients overall health may be affecting their mental health. I provide psycho-education about the mind/body connection and offer insight into alternative ways of healing the mind and body.

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

I teach clients about the importance of being aware of their thoughts and how they can have a healthy relationship to them through a mindfulness practice.

Attachment-based

I provide psycho-education about our attachment styles and how they affect the health of our relationships. I help clients identify their attachment style and we work together to develop a secure attachment.

Narrative

I use a narrative approach to help clients understand the story that they have created and how they have the power to change their narrative. We work together to develop a narrative that allows them to be in alignment with their wants, needs and desires.

Compassion Focused

I teach clients about having compassion for themselves and others by providing a safe and compassionate space for them. We work together to build a self compassion practice that allows for a deep sense of understanding themselves.
