I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a holistic approach to evidence based practice in therapy. My goal is to meet my clients where they are and help them achieve their goals for a healthy and balanced self. I have worked as a Social Worker for over 10 years and in that time I have served with a variety of community members of all ages. I believe I am best at serving clients who are open minded, willing and wanting help as well as clients who want to be aware, accountable and willing to change.
Clients should expect to share realistic expectations and what brought him/her/they to seek therapy.
My greatest strength is I apply my holistic treatment approach to my daily life as well as working with my clients. Thus my clients will know I wholeheartedly believe in my treatment.
Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) is a short-term treatment that helps people change their thinking patterns and behaviors to address specific problems. Most of my experience with treatment has been applying CBT and this evidence based practice has been successful. I will assist my clients with changing their thought process and thinking with everyday experiences.
Solution-focused therapy (SFBT) is a short-term, goal-oriented therapeutic approach that focuses on building solutions rather than solving problems. This treatment method is something I apply to create solutions for life experiences overall.
Grief therapy, also known as grief counseling, is a type of psychotherapy that helps people cope with the emotional, physical, social, spiritual, and cognitive responses to loss. After working with Hospice patients and families throughout my career I have learned to assist with grieving family members and help them to express and cope with their emotions.
