Have you ever asked yourself, "why don't I feel good about myself and my choices in life?" I want to help you explore those feelings and get to the root cause so we can reveal the parts of you that feel alive and whole again. Do you remember the hopes and dreams you had as a child? What happened to those dreams? It could be life events or circumstances, some that were out of your control and some that you made consciously or unconsciously. If you have experienced trauma, sexual trauma, this can contribute to your mental, physical, and emotional struggles. Sexual trauma is not easy to discuss, as it is a taboo topic, and you may not find you can share your story with your friends and family. Secrecy is part of the toxic shame that often leads to issues with self-esteem, relationships, intimacy, and other behavioral problems. Every person has the answers within themselves to reveal the shiny pearl in the bed of a sandy oyster. I can help you if you are ready to do the work of personal growth and healing.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session, we will start with brief introductions, including basic office protocol, and then I will continue with the Intake, gathering background information. Then we will determine your goals for therapy that we will use in the follow up sessions. I allow enough time to listen to the clients symptoms and experiences, I never want the client to feel rushed

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

What will it cost you if you do nothing and carry on the way things are? Our childhood fortresses become adult prisons when we use the same coping skills. I would like to help you to remove the blocks, learn to trust yourself, and listen to your inner voice to reconnect with your true self.

My treatment methods

Daialectical Behavior (DBT)

DBT is a powerful tool that can teach you how to regulate your emotions when past or present events may trigger you. I like to explain that we may get stuck in our emotional mind, when sometimes we need to access our rational, logical mind. DBT will help you to use both emotions and logic to create a wise mind.

Psychodynamic

I believe much of our behaviors are unconscious and outside of our awareness. When we want to make changes, we must first become aware of our behaviors and beliefs.
