Hi and welcome! I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker licensed in Maryland and Delaware. I received my Masters of Social Work from Rutgers University and have 10 years of experience working with children, individuals, and families navigating expected and unexpected life events that often make daily functioning overwhelming. I provide a safe and warm space where families and individuals can express and process their feelings and be supported in working through life transitions and in strengthening interpersonal relationships.
In our first session together, we'll start with brief introductions, then dive into the specific challenges you're facing. This will help me create a tailored plan for us to work through in follow-up sessions.
My ability to hold space for my clients' feelings/experiences while also fostering an environment of resilience to overcome adversity and thrive is a skill that I have honed in on. Recognizing that every individual's journey is different, I use a variety of therapeutic approaches, including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), solution-focused therapy, and family systems therapy. This flexibility ensures that I can adapt my methods to best support my clients, whether they are dealing with academic pressures, relationship issues, or mental health challenges.
I prioritize creating a safe and empathetic environment where clients feel truly heard and valued with a focus of building a genuine therapeutic relationship founded on trust and respect. This approach allows me to support clients in exploring their thoughts and feelings without judgment, empowering them to discover their own solutions and achieve personal growth.
