Welcome to my practice! My name is Rachna and I am a licensed Marriage and Family therapist in the state of California. I am also a PhD candidate with the Chicago School of Professional Psychology, focusing on International Psychology. I work with women ages 25-45 who have experienced pregnancy loss, depression and anxiety. When working with me, my hope is that you feel comfortable and safe as you share your life story with me.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session together, we will discuss your reasons for seeking therapy. We will discuss what your life looks like in the present and who is in your support system. We will discuss your challenges that brought you to therapy and what your goals are for yourself. You will also be able to ask me questions that are on your mind so that we can begin building a strong rapport and trust.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I believe in a client-centered approach that focuses on providing a safe, secure, and genuine environment for you to grow. I approach my clients with a compassionate mind-set, allowing ample time to build rapport and time for you to share your challenges with me. It is my honor to walk alongside you as you begin your healing journey.

My treatment methods

Trauma Informed Care

By acknowledging your trauma experience and validating it in session, healing can begin. I use it with my clients to support them in understanding their past and present and how that has impacted them, so that they can begin their healing journey.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

Understanding how one event can impact our feelings, emotions and behaviors is part of figuring out what coping skills will work best. Knowing our negative self beliefs and addressing them in sessions, together we will learn to reframe them in a more positive light.

Grief Therapy

Grief and loss are part of life. In therapy we will work together in validating your grief and finding ways to process it so that you can move forward at your own pace and find healing. Grief can mean many different things from losing a loved one to losing a relationship to other life stressors that can hinder us from moving forward.
