I am accepting new clients. Enter your information and I will reach out to you directly to set your appointment. Appointments are available face-to-face and telehealth on Thursday, Friday and Saturday and can be typically scheduled within 2 weeks of request. You are feeling like you have lost control over your life. You look around and it seems like all your choices are being made for you and when you try to go after what you want, you feel defeated before you can even take the first step. It does not have to be this way. In my role as a therapist, I believe it is my job to clear the fog that clouds the path that you want to be on. I believe that everyone is the expert of their own life. We become better at navigating our lives when we learn accurate information, remove the judgment that comes with other people's attempts to control our life, and take a clear look at potential outcomes (both good and bad) of our choices. My passion is to empower and not dictate. It is my honor to listen and not judge. It is a privilege to explore with you wherever you want to go, whether into the past or looking into the future, and watch each person discover their own strengths and build the life that they want to live while breaking down the barriers inside that hold us back. I am not the therapist for everyone. I am the therapist for the client that knows they want better for themselves but may not know how to get there. I am direct, realistic, creative with problem solving...and sometimes profane. You have the wheel in your hands and I do love a good mental health road trip!

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

I want to hear your story and learn why you want to be in therapy. I want to know what you want. I will tell you how I can help, if I can help and the approach I will take. I let my client's know that it is important that they find the right therapist for them and to consider if they they I can help. Clients will be given time to think about whether they think I can be of help to them or if they need my help in finding a therapist that can help them in a way that they are comfortable. If they decide that we can work together and I agree, we hit the ground running.

What treatment methods and tools do you utilize?

Cognitive Behavioral Therapies, Strategic Therapy, and Solution-Focused Therapy are my default mode. Specialties include Certification in the RTM Protocol to address acute PTSD symptoms. Clinical Sexology with an interest in assisting with sexual dysfunction, sexual trauma, ethical non-monogamy and kink-informed Parent/Adolescent Conflict Psychedelic Assisted Psychotherapy

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I'm engaged in our sessions together, without assuming that I understand. So I will ask you. You get to be the expert on your body, life, and mind. I'm okay with being uncomfortable, with not knowing, with not having solutions and I'm okay if you don't have them either. In my office, "I don't know" is an answer. I do not like theoretical solutions. If there is a problem to solve, we examine solutions and aren't afraid of identify why it might not work. We troubleshoot. We find imperfect solutions to complicated situations. I focus on giving you information as objectively, clearly as possible. I know that you can't make good decisions with bad information. We won't always like the information, but we use the information to make progress.
