Hi! I am a Licensed Professional Counselor based in Georgia but also served clients in Pennsylvania. I received my Masters from the Lincoln Unversity of PA and have been in practice for 14 years. I help clients dealing with some of the toughest times in their life trying to navigate chronic anxiety, depression or traumic events that have occurred in their lives.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session my focused will be first on getting you familar with who I am so that you feel comfortable with opening up to me and discussing your needs, then we will discuss specfically what brought you to therapy and then really focus in on specifics of your life that I may help identify how these different experiences have impacted the reason you came to therapy finally based on your needs we will identify a specific plan to help address those needs and identify the frequency for therapy sessions.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

My clients always praise me for being straight forward, candid and they really feel like I am partnering with them and not just a passive partificipant in the sessions. They appreciate how knowledgeable I am clinically but also my life experience that gives me authentic and unique perspective on many topics. In essence I am not only their medical provider but relatable and effective at really seeing them

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I have been using CBT in my practice since I started in this field 14 years ago. It has been one of the most effective approaches for treating anxiety, depression, and other mental health issues that has a client feeling stuck emotionally, mentally and spiritually. It allows the client to understand the connection between thoughts, feelings, and behaviors so that a client can change the behaviors and response patterns in their life that have not been healthy of effective.

Motivational Interviewing

Typically use this with clients who feel stuck and unable to make decisions for long term change or when they are looking to make decisions that significantly impact their life. This is also a very effective method for those who are in transitional times of their life and are ambivalent about change.

Faith based therapy

I understand the importance of honor the individual spiritual practices and beliefs and including it in the therapeutice process. As a christian counselor I will utilize a combination between behavior science methods of therapy with scripture at the client requests.

Interpersonal

I often use this method when the focus in therapy is on improving relationships. In this approach I help clients recognize in effective patterns that have shown up in relationships, and helped resolve the root of those issues so that the client can form healthy attachments with others and develop successful relationships.

Trauma Informed Care

I specialize in treating child hood abuse, domestic violence surivors, traumatic loss and PSTD diagnosed clients using multiple trauma informed methods including TFCBT, EMDR and mindfullness strategies to reduce and/or eliminate trauma responses and symptoms.
