A warm welcome to you! I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with 14 years of experience in the field. I have primarily worked with children and adolescents in those years between the school setting, treatment facilities for drugs and alcohol, as well as outpatient therapy facilities. Currently, I’m a high school social worker by day and a part-time professor on the side.
In your first session, we will be working together to identify what has brought you to therapy, co-create treatment goals, and gather information to best understand what makes you YOU.
As a provider, I am known to be non-judgmental, open, human, and creative in my approach. I am openly queer, which often helps queer clientele feel more at ease, as well.
I am a strong believer in assessing and solving relational challenges through the lens of attachment theory. My goal is to guide clients towards a more secure baseline.
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy is a strategy I use when addressing negative thinking patterns that are harmfully impacting the client’s life.
Although it may not always feel like it, we all have some tools and ability within us to solve the problems we face. My goal is to help clients identify those tools by building on their strengths and past experiences with overcoming challenges.
I use this method of therapy to treat clients who are no longer experiencing the traumatic event and feel ready to begin addressing their symptoms of PTSD.
