With my guidance, clients are able to learn different ways to recognize their own distortions in thinking that are causing problems and then reevaluate these thoughts in the light of reality. Clients have the ability gain a better insight of behavior and motivation of others. Furthermore, clients are encouraged to identify and develop coping mechanisms to help problem solve or cope with difficult situations they are currently experiencing.
Solution Focused Therapy is utilized to help clients focus more on solution-building rather than problem solving. The clients are encouraged to concentrate on current circumstances and future hopes. This method has been useful to assist clients in reducing internalizing behaviors such as anxiety, depression and self-esteem.
Gestalt therapy has been successful with most of clients who are focusing on personal growth. The clients are able to develop strategies to gain better understanding of self-awareness and self-acceptance. This method allows creativity and collaboration in the interaction between the client and the therapist by utilizing active techniques such as role-playing. Clients are able develop strategies to improve interpersonal relationships and better regulate their emotions. Clients will have the ability develop solutions to reduce or to deal with stressful situations.
