Hello! I am a licensed therapist in both North Carolina and New York. I find great fulfillment in working with individuals needing assistance in better managing their mood stability, emotions, anxiety, relationships, codependency, and life adjustment stressors. Reaching out to a new therapist for the first time can feel overwhelming and very vulnerable. My main goal is always helping potential and established clients feel safe, respected, and heard. Feel free to reach out to discuss your needs and how I may be of assistance in your emotional journey.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

My overall focus revolves around meeting my clients where they are, using empathy, validation, and warmth to ensure that emotional isolation is minimized and the rapport building process is meaningful. I offer an eclectic mix of Mindfulness and Cognitive Behavioral approaches to assist my clients in feeling more at peace with the activity of their minds.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I convey a relaxed, comforting, normalizing approach to therapy that creates the environment needed to get meaningful work done within the session. I utilize a teaching approach in order to assist clients in better navigating the activity of their minds.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I enjoy utilizing CBT as a practical means to teach clients how to identify their thought processes and label them appropriately.

Daialectical Behavior (DBT)

Mindfulness has become a central part of my approach and DBT offers much in the way of structured mindfulness training. Core skills based around distress tolerance, emotion regulation, and interpersonal effectiveness impact all of us, thus I've come to enjoy utilizing this modality greatly.

Psychoeducation

education is central in learning about our symptoms and how to overcome our past struggles. I attempt to impart a dynamic of learning into the therapy experience.

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

overcoming distressful mind activity often starts with re-grounding back into the present moment.

Person-centered (Rogerian)

a central stylistic foundation of my therapeutic style is rooted in person centered approaches.
