Hello! I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) based in Florida. I’m also licensed in Indiana and in Virginia. I received my Masters degree from Florida International University and have been practicing for over 5 years. I have experience working children, adolescents, and adults. My goal in therapy is to help my clients to improve the quality of their lives.
In our first therapy session, we’ll start with brief introductions, then dive into the specific challenges you’re facing. This will help me to create a individualized plan of treatment for us to work in follow-up sessions.
I believe my greatest strength as a therapist is my style of counseling. My style of counseling is pretty laid back. I have been described as supportive, caring, and compassionate, with a pretty good sense of humor. In addition, I like to focus on identifying my clients strengths and helping them to maximize those strengths to overcome challenges. As a therapist, I'm here to help you sort through the things that are difficult right now, and offer you a safe place to be open and honest without fear of judgment.
My experience with using cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) allows me to help clients to alter their thoughts and feelings which will lead to changes in behavior. I believe that how we think and feel has a direct impact on our behavior.
My experience with using solution focused brief therapy helps me to find solutions in the present and explore my client’s hope for the future in order to find a quick and pragmatic resolution to the clients problems. I also help my clients develop tools and skills that they can use moving forward.
