I am a licensed clinical social worker with over 30 years experience in the field of social work. I have worked with all types of vulnerable people, children, adults with disabilities, Veterans and eldery to name a few. For the past 10 years I have worked with Caregivers of Veterans and for the past 6 years have provided telehalth services for Caregivers and those who are simply going through seasons of grief, anxiety or depression for various reasons.
In our first session together, here's what you can expect
A first session with me will be all about developing a connection, ensuring we are a good fit and gathering enough information to inform our path moving forward. Together we will develop a plan for success based on your individual needs. I provide a person centered approach to therapy; meaning I will meet you right where you are at each session but not leave you there.
The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions
One of my greatest strengths is my ability to make people feel comfortable sharing.
The clients I'm best positioned to serve
I really enjoy connecting with Caregivers who find themselves in a season of life doing meaningful yet stressful work that they never dreamed or imagined they would be responsible for. I truly enjoy providing a space of comfort and relief to help ease the burden of caregiver stress and the anxiety and depression that can accompany it.

Amy Murphy was very personable, easy to talk with and I absolutely feel that she will not only understand where I am coming from but have good ideas to help me get to where I want to be.
