I’m a clinical psychologist offering online mental health services to women in Florida. I specialize in Health Psychology, Neurodivergent-Affirming Therapy, Neuropsychological and Psychological Evaluations, and Therapy for Women. As a person-centered integrative clinician, I aim to provide a culturally sensitive and holistic experience where women can achieve self-actualization. As a health psychologist, I promote whole-person wellness for women’s successful living.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

We’ll meet to see if we’re a good match. I’m interested in your story - where you’ve been, what you’ve learned, and who’s influenced you. We’ll explore your story with curiosity and empathy. You must feel comfortable and safe, just like you would with a trusted friend. We’ll plan to achieve your therapy goals together. We’ll discuss whether an evidence-based therapy (a structured approach) or an integrative modality (less structured) would best suit you. I’m committed to your wellness, but our mutual dedication is vital to success. My overall approach to therapy is holistic and emphasizes personal growth and self-awareness. Treatment duration depends on various factors, including your needs and response. We’ll end treatment when therapy goals are met, but booster sessions can be scheduled for maintenance. You can return for new goals. As a clinician, I value flexibility and respect your autonomy. For neuropsychological and psychological evaluations, I’ll meet with you to understand your concerns and answer any questions you may have about the process so you can feel at ease. We’ll follow up as necessary to gather comprehensive information about you. I believe that you are a whole and not just your symptoms. I’ll dive further into your story, experiences, and behavior patterns. I’ll use neuropsychological and psychological tools considering multicultural variables to provide an accurate assessment. At the last meeting, you’ll receive feedback and recommendations for the insight and clarity you need and a brighter future.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

Every clinician has a unique approach to providing care, which reflects their personality, education, and professional experiences. Overall, therapists' strengths are building trustworthy relationships with their patients, inspiring them, and supporting their personal growth. As a clinician, my biggest asset is my unwavering positive regard and respect for my patients' stories and autonomy. My training in testing and assessment, bilingualism, curiosity, and continuous effort to enhance my cultural competency gives me the edge in providing quality care.

My treatment methods

Acceptance and commitment (ACT)

For far too long, you may have been trying to avoid or control “negative” emotions like anger, sadness, or fear. With ACT, you’ll learn to accept whatever comes up for you so that those big, overwhelming emotions lose their power. If you’re ready to face your pain, define your values, and commit to living them, ACT can help.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

CBT helps you unveil the links between your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. It encourages curiosity and helps you replace unhelpful thoughts with healthier ones. You’ll learn the skills to recognize your patterns, and hence, with time… you can become your own therapist! CBT-for insomnia (CBT-I) helps you explore your thoughts and actions surrounding sleep. Together, we’ll retrain your brain so that you can get a better night’s sleep. Through CBT-I, you’ll learn to quiet your mind and make minor adjustments with a major payoff so you can get the rest you need. With CBT for chronic pain (CBT-CP), I’ll put you back in the driver’s seat. You’ll cultivate a sense of physiological control and find some relief from your pain. I know your pain is real and excruciating, and I am here to help.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

DBT teaches essential skills such as distress tolerance, emotion regulation, and interpersonal effectiveness. You’ll learn to make informed decisions, reduce emotional distress, and respond to situations more effectively. You’ll find that DBT promotes emotional stability, improved relationships, and a greater sense of overall well-being.

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

You’ve probably heard of mindfulness—and together, we’ll explore its benefits. You may find that when you pay close attention, live on purpose, and release judgment; you experience a profound transformation. Improve patience, trust, love, kindness, and compassion for self and others are some of the benefits of this practice. I’will also teach you stress reduction techniques to help you breathe through life’s chaotic moments.

Psychological Testing And Evaluation

A neuropsychological evaluation measures various cognitive functions, providing valuable insights into brain function. It is not therapy, a neurological assessment, or neuroimaging. Neurologists often recommend it. A psychological evaluation gathers information about cognitive, emotional, and behavioral functioning for a proper diagnosis. It helps guide treatment and uncovers strengths and weaknesses that traditional interviews might not detect. Psychiatrists, psychologists, and therapists recommend these. Testing and assessment will empower you to know why you may be feeling the way you’re feeling, experiencing changes in your mood and cognition, struggling to meet life demands, or struggling to do regular activities of daily living.
