Hello! I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) based in Georgia. I received my Master's degree from Clayton State University and have been practicing for approximately 2 years. I help adults of all ages struggling with depression, anxiety, self-esteem, and processing how past relational traumas impact present-day relationships. My goal is to provide compassionate and effective support, empowering you to overcome obstacles and achieve greater relationships with yourself and others.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session together, we'll start with brief introductions, then dive into the specific challenges you're facing. I also reserve some time to gather some background information about your life to better understand your perspective and life experiences. This will help me create a tailored plan for us to work through in follow-up sessions.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

My greatest strength is helping clients discover the root causes of their presenting concerns and collaboratively develop strategies to address and heal the root causes.

My treatment methods

Trauma Informed Care

I am a Certified Trauma Professional I. I use a trauma-informed lens that recognizes the effects of trauma on an individual's mental, emotional, and physical well-being. I primarily help adults process past traumas through various modalities that help individuals reestablish safety, hope, and resilience. I primarily use CBT, IFS, Compassion Focused CBT (CF-CBT), and DBT techniques with clients while maintaining a trauma-informed lens.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

Through the CBT lens, I assist individuals in understanding the interaction between thoughts, emotions, and behavior. We identify negative thought patterns, behaviors, or core beliefs impacting well-being by reframing and providing space for emotional understanding, self-compassion, and positive change.

Compassion Focused

Through the lens of compassion-focused treatment, I work with individuals to develop self-compassion and reduce self-criticism, shame, and other negative feelings often tied to trauma, depression, and anxiety.

Culturally Sensitive Therapy

I work from a culturally sensitive lens to ensure the therapeutic space inherently provides respect and acceptance for individual differences. I provide a space where clients can share and incorporate their cultural background, values, and beliefs into the therapeutic process.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

Through the DBT lens, I teach mindfulness techniques, leading clients to be present in the moment and enhance self-awareness. I also teach and guide clients through developing coping strategies for when life feels overwhelming. There is also a focus on ways to establish healthy boundaries and communication strategies to improve interpersonal relationships.
